In his foreword, Sri M writes:

“To bring an ancient and advanced treatise on pure wisdom to a simple, poetic and understandable form is indeed a difficult task especially since the original Katha Upanishad is in a language very few have studied in depth these days: Sanskrit.

Ravikumar has done the impossible. His poem Nachiketas in Malayalam brings forth the essence of the Upanishad with simplicity, clarity and poetic rhythm.”
