About the Author:
Sankarsan Parida was born in 1953 in a village named Sandhapalli in the district of Kendrapara, Orissa, India. He is a poet, critic, translator, and editor of the Oriya quarterly, The Sagarkanya. He has published four collections of English poetry with Writers Workshop.

The music continues unabated
in the orchestra hall

mellowing colours,
sounds and motions.
I don’t just understand
why I falter suddenly
