You’re back
You’ve been here before
Haven’t you?
I recognize your dark hideous form
You are pain
Slowly you will sink your fangs in me
You will hold me in a tight embrace
Like a demanding lover
You will wrap yourself around me
Like a shroud
And try to snatch from me
My life’s breath
But you will not succeed
Even though I have not the strength to fight you
Time will be my ally
Time will erode you
Gradually your power will wane
And you will fade into nothingness
History will repeat itself
I know because
We’ve done this before
Haven’t we?
