Utopia

The records of history,
like murky muddy mangrove waters
under the receding low tide,
reveal the ancient epic tales
of long lost ages.
The coral crabs scuttle among the mangroves,
the ebb of the clear waters
reveals the arched skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus.
A small mouse peekaboos out of an intricate burrow.
He says, “The big creatures have disappeared,
Utopia has arrived.”
