Teaser:

Marine Drive

on summer evenings desiring suns
drop into the Arabian Sea,
drape her;
in December and January she lies quietly,
undesired;
racing an athletic monsoon wind
in July,
she clambers the erotic curves of
Marine Drive,
runs graffiti on sea walls in
unknown alphabets;
witness to the yearly routine for 37 years,
the Sea and the Drive have seen to my welfare
in difficult hours;
watching winds and waves
scaring crabs under rocks,
scattering pigeons,
privy to private moments,
one waits, mostly.
