Cracks Sound

He washes off
the dust
of day’s labour,
when the little
stars begin to
twinkle joyously.

His nights are swift,
but
days drag.

His eyes fly open
before the darkness decreases.
He lurches to feet
for burdensome
process of livelihood.

His old mother
waits for
the life’s train
to crawl into terminus.

His wife is carrying.
His ailing mother
drops
to sleep.

The newborn’s cry
resonates
through
the house.

He neither
mourns
nor revels
the occasions.
