Net Surfing
The intimidating jargon
the dehumanizing strength
the anonymity of chat rooms,
the people,
pre-programmed to fail.
‘Superhighway’ sounds so good
sure beats the ugly truth
we seem to have lost ourselves
among the milestones passing by.
If all the boundaries collapse so quick,
who do we love; And who
shall be on the other side?
My self is slowly fading out
replaced by neat rows on rows
zeroes tangoing stubborn ones.
If I am just a formless dull,
amorphous unit, undefined,
what end will it all serve —
if no end can be only mine?
A non-being, being non
in a world of similarly conned
poor suckers, royally had.
Lonely planet, can you not feel
how well connected we all are?
