About the Author:
Born in 1926, R. Rabindranath Menon was a member of the Indian Administrative Service and held top positions in the Government and the public sector. He wrote poems in English, Malayalam and Kannada and had 11 volumes of poetry to his credit – 10 in English and 1 in Malayalam. He translated his own poems into Kannada and rendered Kannada poems into English as well. He was the recipient of several awards including the Poet Laureate Crown and Gold Medal from the United Poet Laureate Association. He was awarded a D.Litt from the University of Manila Centre, Manila, Philippines in 1971. R. Rabindranath Menon passed away in late 2010.
