About the Author
Purnendu Rajeshwar Thakore works in Singapore. He graduated with a degree in commerce with honours from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, and became a chartered accountant soon after. Taking a sabbatical from work, he got an M.B.A. from the National University of Singapore.

Writing is a hobby that releases work-related stress and reinvigorates him, even though his work does not allow the luxury of much free time to pursue writing. He started composing poetry in Hindi at school. While in college he won poetry-writing competitions and gave recitations on the national All India Radio and Doordarshan networks as well as local poetry societies. He published his first collection of poems, Bund Bund Kavitā, in 1997, and since then he has written poetry, short stories and a novel.

The present collection contains some poems that are transcreations of his Hindi poems, and others that were written in English.
