Mirrored Dreams

To be overpowered
Then possessed
By a tall dark stranger
In the night
This, I fantasized every night
In the arms of my lover boy.

He came one night
A little drunk
“Come sit with me, I wish to talk
Of things that matter to me.”
I listened and I sympathized
When out of the blue he leapt at me
And pinned me to the ground.

Fear like a wave engulfed me
I fluttered like a bird entrapped
With trembling hands, cold and wet
I pushed him hard.
He fell.
Nausea filled my every bone
“Get up! Get out!” I said.

Incorrigible this mind
It continues to dream
Only, this time it’s a different dream.
