Circle

Check the coordinates, mate,
for I have a premonition
that our journey has come full circle.
The moon and the stars seem glued to the sky,
exactly where I had seen them at the start of time,
only with faint traces of smeared grime.

Yes, they look like they have been pasted
and peeled, and again,
only to leave the stains of repeated efforts
rearranging them till the spaces ran out
of unsoiled patches.
