Had I loved you less, my sister,
the sky wouldn’t have been so blue
and the birds so free.
The flowers you planted
have blossomed in a plethora of colours.
The cat that you left behind
prowls about happily, knowing that it is loved.
Whatever you took from me, unreturned,
is the only gift I could ever give you.
Will you take a true gift from me, my friend?
Will you keep my love safe in your heart?
